VLESS monitoring
Xray/V2Ray stateless protocol, URI auto-detect — actively verified from ExitProbe's distributed edge probes.
About VLESS
VLESS is the stateless protocol behind Project X (Xray-core). It carries no built-in encryption of its own — instead it relies on transport-layer security like TLS or Reality, often fronted through CDNs with WebSocket or gRPC transports.
Because Reality and CDN-fronted setups are common in production, VLESS monitoring must understand the whole share link: security mode, SNI, fingerprint, flow and transport parameters.
How ExitProbe tests it
- 1ExitProbe parses any standard vless:// share link, including Reality (pbk/sid), TLS and WS/gRPC transports.
- 2Brings up the connection through an Xray-compatible core on an edge probe.
- 3Sends real traffic through the outbound and verifies the resulting exit IP.
- 4Detects silent CDN origin changes because the verified IP no longer matches.
Your credentials are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and only decrypted in memory at check time on the probe running the test. They never appear in logs, API responses, or incident payloads.
Common questions
Yes. Any vless:// URI works — Reality (with public/short ID), plain TLS, and WebSocket or gRPC transports used for CDN fronting are all parsed automatically.
Yes. Transport parameters (type, path, host, serviceName, fp, sni) are all read from the query string exactly as V2RayN and similar clients emit them.
The next check fails verification and you get alerted — typically within one interval instead of when users start complaining.
